Made in PolandSkid plate (bash plate) with pipe guard made of 4 mm AlMg3 aluminium (EN AW-5754, PA11) for TBI two-strokes: KTM EXC 250/300, Husqvarna TE 250/300 and GasGas EC 250/300, 2024–2027. In hard enduro the pipe is hit most often by rocks and logs, and this guard takes the blow. One guard covers the underside of the engine and the stock expansion chamber, and you bolt its 9 mounting points to the frame with no drilling and no changes to the bike. It fits only a new, unbent stock (OEM) pipe (not FMF, DEP or Fresco).
- KTM 250 EXC and 300 EXC TBI, including 300 EXC Six Days and Hardenduro: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- KTM 250 XC-W and 300 XC-W TBI: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- Husqvarna TE 250 and TE 300 TBI: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- GasGas EC 250 and EC 300 TBI: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
The guard fits only a new, unbent stock (OEM) pipe and does not fit FMF, DEP or Fresco exhausts. If you prefer separate parts, for the stock (OEM) pipe there is the PG10 pipe guard (2.06 kg) with the SP04 plate (1.11 kg) or the SP08 (0.86 kg), for the FMF Gnarly and Fatty the PG15 pipe guard, and for OXA the PG21. For Husqvarna and GasGas with a linkage guard there is the PG17 H, and for the EXC and TE 150 TBI the PG16 pipe guard with the SP09 plate. The 2020–2023 TPI two-strokes have the PG05.
The guard covers the engine cases and covers from below, and the expansion chamber at the front and side. On a two-stroke the pipe runs low under the engine and is the first thing to meet rocks. The expansion chamber bounces the pressure wave back to the cylinder and its shape is matched to the engine, so a dent changes the power delivery. A cracked case means an oil leak, and replacing it means splitting the engine.
Internal supports hold the guard at a fixed distance from the pipe, the frame and the engine. The shape follows the pipe and the frame, so the guard does not collect mud and stones, and a large hole at the lowest point lets mud out.
The PG17 holds on to the bike at nine points: the front frame bracket, a mount to dedicated points in the frame, hooks that grip the frame at its widest point, rear lugs bolted to the sockets in the frame, and the rear frame bracket. It weighs 2.34 kg, 0.04 kg more than the PG05 with its six points.
We bend the guard on a press brake from 4 mm AlMg3 aluminium (EN AW-5754, PA11) sheet and TIG-weld it on both sides. After welding we clean and polish it. Aluminium is light, resists corrosion and keeps its shape.
Fitting needs no drilling and no changes to the bike. We design every guard from a 3D scan of the specific bike with the stock exhaust and cut it on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
