The guard fits a new, unbent factory expansion chamber. It does not fit FMF, Fresco or DEP. For the 150 EXC and TE 150 TPI from 2020–2023 there is the PG09, and for 250/300 TBI with the stock expansion chamber the PG10.

The expansion chamber runs low under the engine, so it is the part that most often takes rocks and logs. Its chamber reflects the pressure wave back to the cylinder, and its shape is matched to the engine, so a dent changes the power delivery.

The PG16 surrounds it with an open rod cage. It does not collect stones or mud, so you can clean the exhaust and the underside of the engine with no trouble.

We TIG-weld the cage from 304 stainless steel rod. The chromium (about 18%) and nickel (about 8%) give the steel resistance to corrosion in water, mud and salt. The 8 mm rod is stiff, and the guard weighs 1.66 kg. After welding we clean and polish it.

The guard needs no drilling or changes to the bike. You can fit it on its own, or with no further changes with our 4 mm aluminium SP09 skid plate. On plates from other makers, such as Acerbis, AXP and Crosspro, you need to drill two holes for the lower bolts, and OEM plates need larger cut-outs.

We design the pipe guard from a 3D scan of the bike and cut the parts on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
