Pipe guard KTM EXC, Husqvarna, GasGas 250/300 2024-2027

The guard fits a new, unbent stock (OEM) expansion chamber. For FMF Gnarly and Fatty exhausts there are the PG15 and PG15 X, and for OXA the PG21. The larger version for the stock expansion chamber is the PG10 X, which protects more of the expansion chamber, right up to the bend at the cylinder. For TPI two-strokes from 2020–2023 use the PG06, and for the 150 TBI the PG16. You will find a skid plate and pipe guard in one guard as the PG17 (2.34 kg).

The expansion chamber sits low under the engine and is the first part to take hits from rocks and logs. It reflects the pressure wave back to the cylinder, and its shape is matched to the engine, so a dent changes the power delivery.

The PG10 surrounds the expansion chamber with a rod cage. It is open, so it does not collect stones or mud, and you can easily clean the exhaust and the underside of the engine.

The cage of 8 mm rod is TIG-welded from 304 stainless steel. The steel contains about 18% chromium and 8% nickel, and the chromium covers it with a thin oxide layer that protects against rust. After welding we clean and polish the guard.

You bolt the guard on at four points. It needs no drilling or changes to the bike. You can fit it on its own, or with no further changes with our SP04 (4 mm aluminium) and SP08 (8 mm HDPE) skid plates. On plates from other makers, such as Acerbis, AXP or Crosspro, you need to drill two holes for the lower bolts. OEM plates from KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas need larger cut-outs so that the lower mounts of the PG10 sit properly.

We design the pipe guard from a 3D scan of the bike and cut the parts on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
