Made in PolandOversized pipe guard (exhaust guard) made of 8 mm stainless steel rod for the stock exhaust on TBI-injected two-strokes: KTM EXC 250/300, Husqvarna TE 250/300 and GasGas EC 250/300, model years 2024–2027. In hard enduro the pipe is hit most often by rocks and logs, and this guard takes the blow. It protects more of the expansion chamber (the belly of the pipe), right up to the bend at the cylinder. It fits only a new, unbent stock (OEM) expansion chamber, not FMF, Fresco or DEP, and not TPI engines. You can fit it on its own, or with ARTAFON SP04 and SP08 plates with no further changes. On plates from other makers you drill two holes for the lower bolts, and OEM plates need larger cut-outs.
- KTM 250 EXC and 300 EXC TBI, including 300 EXC Six Days and Hardenduro: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- KTM 250 XC-W and 300 XC-W TBI: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- Husqvarna TE 250 and TE 300 TBI: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- GasGas EC 250 and EC 300 TBI: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
The guard fits a new, unbent stock (OEM) expansion chamber. For FMF Gnarly and Fatty exhausts there are the PG15 and PG15 X, and for OXA the PG21. For TPI two-strokes from 2020–2023 use the PG06 or PG06 X.
The PG10 X is a larger version of the PG10 and protects more of the expansion chamber, right up to the bend at the cylinder. It weighs 2.35 kg, and the PG10 2.06 kg. Both are made entirely of 8 mm rod and fit the same stock expansion chamber. If you ride in terrain where the expansion chamber often hits rocks, choose the PG10 X; for lighter terrain the PG10 is enough.
The expansion chamber sends the reflected pressure wave back to the cylinder, and its shape is matched to the engine. A dent changes the power delivery.
The expansion chamber sits low under the engine, so rocks and logs hit it first. The rod cage takes those hits. It does not collect stones or mud, so you can easily clean the exhaust and the underside of the engine.
We TIG-weld 8 mm rod of 304 stainless steel with about 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The chromium forms an oxide layer on the surface that protects the steel from rust in water, mud and salt. After welding we clean and polish the guard.
The guard needs no drilling or changes to the bike. You can fit it on its own, or with no further changes with our SP04 (4 mm aluminium) and SP08 (8 mm HDPE) skid plates. On plates from other makers, such as Acerbis, AXP or Crosspro, you need to drill two holes for the lower bolts. OEM plates need larger cut-outs for the lower mounts.
We design the pipe guard from a 3D scan of the bike and cut the parts on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
