The guard fits a new, unbent factory expansion chamber. It does not fit FMF, DEP or Fresco. For 250/300 TPI with the stock expansion chamber there is the PG06, and for the 150 TBI from 2024 the PG16.

The expansion chamber of a two-stroke has a shape matched to the engine, so that the reflected pressure wave returns to the cylinder at the right moment. A dent changes that shape, and with it the power delivery.

The expansion chamber runs low under the engine and is the first part to meet rocks and logs. The PG09 encloses it in an open rod cage that does not collect stones and mud, so you can easily clean the exhaust and the underside of the engine.

We TIG-weld the PG09 from 304 stainless steel rod. After welding we clean and polish it. About 18% chromium and 8% nickel make the steel form a protective oxide layer, so it does not rust in mud, water or salt. The 8 mm rod gives a stiff and light construction.

You bolt the guard on at four points, two upper and two lower. It needs no drilling or changes to the bike, and all the mounting hardware is in the kit. You can fit it on its own, with the factory OEM plate, or with plastic skid plates such as KTM Six Days and Acerbis. It weighs 1.76 kg.

We design the pipe guard from a 3D scan of the bike and cut the parts on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
