Made in PolandRadiator braces (radiator guards) in 4 mm aluminium for KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas with the factory fan, model years 2024–2027: TBI two-strokes and all four-strokes. The open frame protects both radiators from the side against bending and twisting and does not cover their front. You move the factory fan onto the bracket in the kit, and the factory radiator plastics stay in place.
- KTM EXC (TBI two-strokes 150, 250, 300, including Six Days and Hardenduro), EXC-F (four-strokes) and XC-W: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- Husqvarna TE (TBI) and FE: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- GasGas EC (TBI) and EC F: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
The RG18 F is the version for bikes with a fan between the radiators. The KTM 300 EXC Hardenduro has one from the factory. For a bike without a fan choose the RG18, and if you want to add one, the RG18 Fan Set contains the braces together with a SPAL fan with the original KTM connector. For model years 2020–2023 there are the RG09 F and RG10 F.
A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall on its side the core bends or twists, the channels split and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means being towed home. The RG18 F surrounds each radiator with a frame on the side, and the internal supports brace against the bike's frame and are bolted to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame.
The RG18 F has no front plate. The front of the radiator stays open, air flows straight onto the core, the guards do not limit the steering and the factory radiator plastics stay in place.
If you ride in rocks thrown up by the wheels of the riders ahead, choose the RG17 F: full radiator guards with cross bars at the front, which protect the radiators at the front and sides (with them you remove the factory radiator plastics). The RG15 are radiator guards milled from aluminium with a large hole for mud, also for bikes with a fan. The RG03 are external braces that you fit in a few minutes without draining the coolant.
We bend the guards from 4 mm AlMg3 aluminium (EN AW-5754, PA11) sheet and TIG-weld them on both sides. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, the kind boats are built from, because it resists corrosion even in salt water. A 4 mm sheet is stiff, holds its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 0.76 kg.
The kit includes guards for both radiators, a fan bracket and mounting hardware. To fit them you drain the coolant, remove the seat, the side plastics and the radiators, and then assemble everything with the guards. You move the factory fan onto the bracket from the kit. You can download the fitting instructions with drawings as a PDF.
We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
