Radiator guards KTM EXC, Husqvarna, GasGas 2024-2027 – RG18

RG18 is the version for bikes without a fan. If your bike has a factory OEM fan, choose RG18 F. Want to add a fan? RG18 Fan Set contains the braces together with a SPAL fan. The full-front guards are RG17 (no fan) and RG17 F, and the external braces are RG03. For model years 2020–2023 there is RG10. The guards do not fit two-strokes with TPI injection.

A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means being towed home. RG18 surrounds each radiator with a frame at the side, and the internal supports brace against the bike's frame and are fixed to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame.

RG18 has no front plate. The front of the radiator stays open, air flows straight onto the core, the guards do not limit steering lock and the factory radiator shrouds stay in place. If you ride in stones thrown up by the riders ahead of you, choose the full-front RG17 (1.36 kg), where the shrouds come off.

We bend the guards from AlMg3 aluminium sheet (EN AW-5754, PA11), 4 mm thick, and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, used to build boats because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, keeps its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 0.70 kg, which is 0.06 kg less than RG18 F, which has a fan bracket.

The kit contains guards for both radiators and the mounting hardware. The factory radiator shrouds stay in place. No drilling or changes to the bike are needed. You can download the fitting instructions with drawings as a PDF.

We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
