Radiator guards KTM EXC, Husqvarna, GasGas 2024-2027 – RG17 F

• KTM EXC (TBI two-strokes 150, 250, 300, including Six Days and Hardenduro), EXC-F (four-strokes) and XC-W: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
• Husqvarna TE (TBI) and FE: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
• GasGas EC (TBI) and EC F: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027

RG17 F fits all four-strokes and the 150 TBI. Without a fan, choose RG17. The open frame RG18 F is also for bikes with a fan, and the milled RG15 fit with the fan installed. Want to add a fan? RG17 Fan Set contains the guards together with a SPAL fan. For KTM 250/300 TBI there is also a set of RG17 F guards with the PG10 pipe guard and the SP04 skid plate. For model years 2020–2023 there is RG09 F.

A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means being towed home. Besides falls, radiators take the stones thrown up by the riders ahead of you.

RG17 F surrounds each radiator with a frame at the side and with cross-bars at the front. The internal supports brace against the bike's frame and are fixed to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame. The guards do not limit steering lock. With the full front you take off the factory radiator shrouds. If you prefer to keep them in place, choose RG18 F, which weighs 0.76 kg.

We bend the guards from AlMg3 aluminium sheet (EN AW-5754, PA11), 4 mm thick, and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, used to build boats because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, keeps its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 1.42 kg, which is 0.06 kg more than RG17 without a fan, because it includes the fan bracket.

The kit contains guards for both radiators, the fan bracket and the mounting hardware. The factory-fitted OEM fan has to be moved onto the mounting supplied with the kit. The factory radiator shrouds come off, because the front is closed. No drilling or changes to the bike are needed.

We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
