Made in PolandRadiator braces (radiator guards) RG18 with a complete fan kit for KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas, model years 2024–2027: two-strokes with TBI injection (not TPI) and four-strokes. On slow, technical climbs in hard enduro the engine heats up fastest, and the fan keeps cooling it at a standstill too. The kit contains braces made of 4 mm aluminium, an original SPAL fan with a KTM connector, a fan bracket, screws and rivets. The open frame protects the radiators from the side, and the factory radiator shrouds stay in place. The set weighs 1.20 kg.
- KTM EXC (TBI two-strokes 150, 250, 300, including Six Days, Hardenduro and XC-W) and EXC-F (four-strokes): 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- Husqvarna TE (TBI) and FE: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
- GasGas EC (TBI) and EC F: 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027
The kit is not for two-strokes with TPI injection. It includes a fan, so you add it to a bike without a fan. The guards alone can be bought separately: RG18 (0.70 kg) without a fan or RG18 F for a bike with a factory fan. The fan on its own, without guards, is the fan kit “Radiator fan kit KTM EXC, Husqvarna, GasGas TBI & 4T 2024-2027”. The full-front guards are RG17 Fan Set.
A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means being towed home. RG18 surrounds each radiator with a frame at the side, and the internal supports brace against the bike's frame and are fixed to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame. The front of the radiator stays open, air flows straight onto the core and the guards do not limit steering lock.
At low speed on difficult terrain hardly any air flows through the radiators, while the engine runs at higher revs and with a lot of clutch slipping. The coolant boils and escapes through the overflow. The fan pushes air through the radiator even when you are standing still or crawling along. It does not replace a healthy cooling system: coolant, cap and sealed hoses.
We bend the guards from AlMg3 aluminium sheet (EN AW-5754, PA11), 4 mm thick, and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, used to build boats because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, keeps its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The whole set with the fan weighs 1.20 kg, of which the RG18 guards alone account for 0.70 kg.
The kit contains the RG18 braces, an original SPAL fan with a KTM connector, a fan bracket (mounting), and screws and rivets. It is a set for both radiators. The factory radiator shrouds stay in place. No drilling or changes to the bike are needed. You can download the fitting instructions with drawings as a PDF.
We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
