Oversized FMF pipe guard KTM EXC, Husqvarna, GasGas 250/300 2020-2023

The guard fits a new, unbent FMF expansion chamber and does not fit the stock OEM one. For the stock expansion chamber there are the PG06 and PG06 X, and for OXA the PG19. For FMF on TBI two-strokes from 2024 there are the PG15 and PG15 X.

The PG08 X is larger than the PG08, protects more of the expansion chamber, right up to the bend at the cylinder, and weighs 2.40 kg, while the PG08 weighs 1.90 kg. Both are made entirely of 8 mm rod and fit the same FMF exhausts. The standard PG08 is 0.5 kg lighter.

The expansion chamber reflects the pressure wave back to the cylinder. Its shape is matched to the engine, so a dent changes the power delivery.

The pipe guard surrounds the FMF expansion chamber with a rod cage. It is open, so it does not hold stones and mud, and you can easily clean the exhaust and the underside of the engine.

We TIG-weld 304 stainless steel rod with about 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The chromium forms an oxide layer on the surface that protects against rust, including in water and salt. The 8 mm rod gives a construction that is stiff and light at the same time. After welding we clean and polish the guard.

The guard needs no drilling or changes to the bike. You can fit it on its own or together with a skid plate: a factory KTM, Husqvarna or GasGas plate, ours, or an Acerbis or AXP plate.

We design the pipe guard from a 3D scan of the bike and cut the parts on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
