FMF pipe guard KTM EXC, Husqvarna, GasGas 250/300 2020-2023

The guard fits a new, unbent FMF expansion chamber and does not fit the stock OEM one. For the stock expansion chamber there is the PG06, and for OXA the PG19. The larger FMF version is the PG08 X, which protects more of the expansion chamber, right up to the bend at the cylinder. For TBI two-strokes from 2024 with an FMF exhaust there is the PG15.

The PG08 X protects the same FMF exhaust, but it is larger, covers more of the expansion chamber, right up to the bend at the cylinder, and is heavier: it weighs 2.40 kg, and the PG08 1.90 kg. Both are made entirely of 8 mm rod. Choose the PG08 when low weight matters, and the PG08 X when you ride where the expansion chamber often meets rocks and logs.

The FMF exhaust also has an expansion chamber, which uses the reflected pressure wave to fill the cylinder. Its shape is matched to the engine, so a dent changes the power delivery.

The PG08 surrounds the FMF expansion chamber with a rod cage and takes the hits from rocks and logs. The open design does not collect mud, so you can easily clean the exhaust and the underside of the engine.

We TIG-weld the cage from 304 stainless steel rod. After welding we clean and polish it. The content of about 18% chromium and 8% nickel gives the steel resistance to corrosion in water, mud and salt. The 8 mm rod holds its shape, and the whole guard stays light.

You bolt the guard on at four points, two upper and two lower. It needs no drilling or changes to the bike, and all the mounting hardware is in the kit. You can fit it on its own, with our SP11, SP12 or SP13 plates, or with plastic plates, for example KTM Six Days and Acerbis.

We design the pipe guard from a 3D scan of the bike and cut the parts on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
