Made in PolandPipe guard (exhaust guard) made of 8 mm stainless steel rod for the stock exhaust on Beta Xtrainer 250 and 300 two-strokes, 2015–2026. In hard enduro it protects the expansion chamber from dents on rocks and logs. It mounts at four points with no changes to the bike, on its own or with our SP22 plate; on plates from other makers you drill two holes for the lower bolts. It fits only a new, unbent stock (OEM) pipe (not FMF, DEP or Fresco), and all the mounting hardware is in the kit.
The guard fits a new, unbent stock (OEM) pipe. FMF, DEP and Fresco exhausts have a differently shaped chamber and it does not fit them. For the Beta RR 250/300, 2018–2026, there are the PG07 (3 mounting points) and the PG07 X (4 points), and for the Beta RR 200 the PG23.
In a two-stroke the expansion chamber sends pressure waves back to the cylinder and keeps the mixture in it that would otherwise escape into the exhaust. The shape of the chamber is matched to the engine, so a dent changes the power delivery.
The pipe sits low under the engine, so rocks and logs hit it first. The PG12 surrounds it with a rod cage. The cage is open, so it does not collect stones or mud, and it is easy to clean along with the exhaust and the underside of the engine.
We TIG-weld the pipe guard from 304 stainless steel rod (about 18% chromium and 8% nickel). After welding we clean and polish it. Chromium forms an oxide layer on the surface that protects the steel from rust, in water and mud too.
You bolt the guard on at four points: two upper and two lower, with no drilling and no changes to the bike. All the mounting hardware is in the kit. You can fit it on its own or with our SP22 plate (4 mm aluminium, 1.12 kg). With plates from other makers you need to drill two holes for the lower bolts.
We design the shape of the pipe guard from a 3D scan of the bike with the stock exhaust and cut the parts on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
