Pipe guard Beta RR 250/300 2018-2026

The guard fits a new, unbent stock (OEM) pipe. FMF, DEP and Fresco exhausts have a differently shaped chamber and it does not fit them. The larger PG07 X has four mounting points, weighs 2.42 kg against 2.03 kg for this guard and protects more of the pipe (the belly), right up to the bend at the cylinder. For the Beta RR 200 2T there is the PG23, and for the Beta Xtrainer 250/300 the PG12.

The expansion chamber of a two-stroke bounces the pressure wave back towards the cylinder and pushes the mixture that escaped into the exhaust back in. The shape of the chamber is matched to the engine, so every dent changes the power delivery.

The pipe runs low under the engine and is the first thing to meet rocks and logs. The PG07 surrounds it with a rod cage and takes those hits. The design is open, so it does not collect stones and mud, and you can easily clean the exhaust and the underside of the engine.

We TIG-weld the pipe guard from 304 stainless steel rod, which contains about 18% chromium and 8% nickel. After welding we clean and polish it. Chromium forms an oxide layer on the surface that protects the steel from rust, so the guard stands up to water, mud and road salt. The 8 mm rod gives a stiff yet light structure.

You mount the guard at three points, one upper and two lower, with no drilling and no changes to the bike. You can fit it on its own or together with our SP06 plate (8 mm HDPE, 1.24 kg). With plates from other brands you need to drill two holes for the lower mounting bolts. All the mounting hardware is in the kit.

We design the shape of the pipe guard from a 3D scan of the bike with the stock exhaust and cut the parts on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
