Made in PolandRadiator guards made of 4 mm aluminium with full fronts for the Beta Xtrainer, model years 2015–2026, a set for both radiators. They fit with a fan installed and do not restrict steering. They protect the radiators from bending and impacts at the front and at the side. With the full fronts you remove the factory radiator shrouds. Without full fronts there is the RG14 (0.71 kg).
RG22 fits with a fan installed. RG14 is the guard for the same bike without full fronts, weighing 0.71 kg against 1.31 kg for the RG22.
A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means a tow back. RG22 has full fronts (a grille in front of the radiator) and wraps each radiator at the side, and the inner supports brace against the bike's frame and are bolted to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame. The guards do not restrict steering.
We bend the guards from AlMg3 aluminium sheet (EN AW-5754, PA11) 4 mm thick and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, the kind boats are built from because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, holds its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 1.31 kg.
The kit contains two guards, one for each radiator, and mounting hardware. You bolt the guards to the frame through the inner supports, with no drilling and no changes to the bike. With the full fronts you remove the factory radiator shrouds.
We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
