Made in PolandRadiator braces made of 4 mm aluminium for the Beta Xtrainer, model years 2015–2026, a set for both radiators. They protect the radiators from the side against bending and impacts. The front stays open, air flows straight onto the core and the factory radiator shrouds stay in place. RG14 weighs 0.71 kg. For the Xtrainer with full fronts and with a fan installed there is the RG22 (1.31 kg).
RG22 is the guard for the same bike with full fronts, and it fits with a fan installed. It weighs 1.31 kg against 0.71 kg for the RG14.
A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means a tow back. RG14 wraps each radiator in a frame at the side, and the inner supports brace against the bike's frame and are bolted to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame. The front stays open, air flows straight onto the core and the factory radiator shrouds stay in place.
We bend the guards from AlMg3 aluminium sheet (EN AW-5754, PA11) 4 mm thick and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, the kind boats are built from because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, holds its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 0.71 kg.
The kit contains two guards, one for each radiator, and mounting hardware. You bolt the guards to the frame through the inner supports, with no drilling and no changes to the bike.
We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
