RG20 does not fit with a fan installed and does not fit the 2023 models; for the Beta RR 2020–2023 choose the RG12 or RG13. For the same bikes there is also the RG19 (1.31 kg against 0.75 kg for the RG20), which does not restrict steering. The guards together with a SPAL fan are the RG20 Fan Set 2T and RG20 Fan Set 4T. A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means a tow back. RG20 wraps each radiator at the side, and the inner supports brace against the bike's frame and are bolted to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame.

The upper spacer bar of the guard can catch on a fork leg. To avoid that, adjust the steering stops by 1.5 turns from fully closed (the last product photo shows this). This has a negligible effect on the bike's actual turning radius.

We bend the guards from AlMg3 aluminium sheet (EN AW-5754, PA11) 4 mm thick and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, the kind boats are built from because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, holds its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 0.75 kg.

The kit contains two guards, one for each radiator, and mounting hardware. You bolt the guards to the frame through the inner supports, with no drilling and no changes to the bike. After fitting, set the steering stops to 1.5 turns from fully closed, as in the last product photo.

We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
