For bikes from model year 2024 (KTM EXC-F, Husqvarna FE, GasGas EC 450F and EC 500F) there is the SP19. For the 250/350 four-strokes from 2017–2023 use the SP02, or the SP15 in 6 mm HDPE.

The plate covers the engine cases, the starter motor and the clutch and ignition covers from below. Without it these parts take the hits from stones, roots and logs, as well as stones thrown up by the front wheel. A cracked case or cover means an oil leak and usually the end of the ride off-road, and replacing an engine case means splitting the engine.

The rigid sheet spreads the impact across the whole plate and its mounting points on the frame, so a stone does not hit the case at a single point.

PA11 is the Polish designation for the AlMg3 alloy (EN AW-5754), aluminium with about 3% magnesium. It resists corrosion even in salt water, which is why boats are built from it. We bend the plate on a press brake and TIG-weld it on both sides. After welding we clean and polish it.

Aluminium copes better than plastic with the sharp edges of rocks, and a 4 mm sheet leaves more ground clearance under the engine than a thicker HDPE plate. This plate weighs 0.89 kg.

The kit includes mounting bolts and washers. You bolt the plate to the frame at four points, with no drilling and no changes to the bike, so in an impact the force goes into the frame and not through the bolts into the cases. The SP03 works together with clutch and ignition cover guards.

We design every plate from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut it on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
