Radiator guards KTM EXC, Husqvarna, GasGas 2020-2023 – RG10 F

RG10 F is the version for bikes with a factory-fitted OEM SPAL fan. Without a fan there is RG10. The full-front guards for bikes with a fan are RG09 F. If you want to add a fan, RG10 Fan Set contains the braces together with a SPAL fan. For model years 2017–2019 there is RG02 F, and for 2024–2027 RG18 F and RG17 F.

A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means being towed home. RG10 F surrounds each radiator with a frame at the side, and the internal supports brace against the bike's frame and are fixed to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame.

RG10 F has no front plate. The front of the radiator stays open, air flows straight onto the core and the factory radiator shrouds stay in place. The guards do not limit steering lock. The full-front RG09 F guards also protect the radiators at the front. With them the shrouds come off, and the set weighs 1.50 kg.

We bend the guards from PA11 aluminium sheet (AlMg3, EN AW-5754), 4 mm thick, and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, used to build boats because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, keeps its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 0.83 kg, which is 0.06 kg more than RG10, because it includes the fan bracket.

The kit contains guards for both radiators, the fan bracket and the mounting hardware. The OEM fan has to be moved onto the mounting supplied with the kit. The factory radiator shrouds stay in place. No drilling or changes to the bike are needed.

We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
