Radiator guards KTM EXC, Husqvarna, GasGas 2020-2023 – RG09

RG09 is for models without a fan. If your bike has a factory OEM fan, choose RG09 F (full-front guards) or RG10 F (open frame). Want to add a fan? RG09 Fan Set contains the guards together with a SPAL fan. The open frame without a front is RG10. For model years 2017–2019 there are RG01 and RG02, and for 2024–2027 RG17 and RG18.

A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means being towed home. Besides falls, radiators take the stones thrown up by the riders ahead of you.

RG09 covers each radiator at the front and sides. The internal supports brace against the bike's frame and are fixed to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame. With the full front you take off the factory radiator shrouds. If you prefer to keep the shrouds and have an open front, choose RG10 (0.77 kg).

We bend the guards from PA11 aluminium sheet (AlMg3, EN AW-5754), 4 mm thick, and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, used to build boats because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, keeps its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 1.44 kg.

The kit contains guards for both radiators and the mounting hardware. The factory radiator shrouds come off, because the front is closed. No drilling or changes to the bike are needed.

We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
