Rear disc guard KTM EXC 2003-2027, Husqvarna, Husaberg, Sherco

For Sherco from 2020–2025 there is DG06. For Husqvarna from 2017–2021 there is DG03, and for Husqvarna TE/FE from 2022 with Braktec brakes there is DG04. The DG02 guard fits bikes with a Brembo rear caliper.

The rear disc sits low, on the side the stones, branches and logs come from. It is thin and light, so it bends on impact, and a bent disc rubs on the pads and the brake works unevenly. The fin shields the disc from that side and keeps away branches and mud that wind into the disc and wear the pads out faster.

We mill the guard on a CNC milling machine from a block of 5083 aluminium. The 5083 alloy is resistant to corrosion, tension and abrasion and suitable for milling. Some guards on the market, Chinese ones especially, need grinding before fitting and are held on by small M6 bolts. An aluminium guard can usually be straightened after a hard hit.

You bolt the guard with three M8 bolts to the factory caliper bracket, which stays on the bike, and the mounting hardware is in the kit. You drill nothing and change nothing on the bike. The guard fits every brake disc, including aftermarket ones.

We design every guard from a 3D scan of the specific bike and mill it on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
