Radiator guards KTM EXC, Husqvarna 2017-2019 – RG02 F

RG02 F is the version for bikes with a factory-fitted OEM SPAL fan. Without a fan there is RG02, and the full-front guards compatible with SPAL fans are RG01. If you want to add a fan, RG02 Fan Set contains the braces together with a SPAL fan. For model years 2020–2023 there are RG09 F and RG10 F, and for 2024–2027 RG17 F and RG18 F.

A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means being towed home. RG02 F surrounds each radiator with a frame at the side, and the internal supports brace against the bike's frame and are fixed to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame.

RG02 F has no front plate. The front of the radiator stays open, air flows straight onto the core and the factory radiator shrouds stay in place. The guards do not limit steering lock. The full-front guards are RG01, where the shrouds come off.

We bend the guards from AlMg3 aluminium sheet (EN AW-5754, PA11), 4 mm thick, and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, used to build boats because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, keeps its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 0.75 kg, which is 0.01 kg more than RG02 without a fan.

The kit contains guards for both radiators and the mounting hardware. The factory radiator shrouds stay in place. No drilling or changes to the bike are needed.

We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
