Radiator guards KTM, Husqvarna, Husaberg 2008-2016

RG04 does not fit with an originally installed OEM fan. If you want to add a fan, RG04 Fan Set contains the braces together with a SPAL fan, and the fan with a thermal switch (without braces) is in the separate fan kit for KTM EXC 2T/4T 2008–2016, Husqvarna, Husaberg. For model years 2017–2019 there are RG02 and RG02 F.

A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means being towed home. RG04 surrounds each radiator with a frame at the side and protects it against bending and impacts from the side.

RG04 has no front plate. The front of the radiator stays open, air flows straight onto the core and the factory radiator shrouds stay in place. The guards do not limit steering lock.

We bend the guards from PA11 aluminium sheet (AlMg3, EN AW-5754), 4 mm thick, and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, used to build boats because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, keeps its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set weighs 0.95 kg.

The kit contains guards for both radiators and the mounting hardware. The factory radiator shrouds stay in place. No drilling or changes to the bike are needed.

We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
