Made in PolandRadiator guards made of 4 mm aluminium together with a complete SPAL fan kit for the Beta RR: two-strokes from 2020–2023 and four-strokes from 2020–2021. The kit includes a fan with the original Beta plug, a holder, a thermal switch that screws into the radiator and wiring with a fuse. These are full guards: crossbars protect the radiators from bending and impacts at the front as well, and you remove the factory radiator shrouds. The kit does not fit the 2024 models or the 2022–2023 four-strokes, which have a separate product page (RG13 Fan Set 4T 2022–2023). The guards on their own are the RG13.
- Beta RR 2T: 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023
- Beta RR 4T: 2020, 2021
The kit does not fit the Beta RR 2024 or the 2022 and 2023 four-strokes. The 2022–2023 four-strokes have their own kit: RG13 Fan Set 4T 2022–2023, and the 2024–2026 models the RG19 Fan Set and RG20 Fan Set. The guards without a fan are the RG13. For the same bikes there is also the RG12 Fan Set, with an open frame (1.25 kg against 1.81 kg for this kit with full fronts). You can buy the fan on its own as a separate kit in the “Fan kits” category.
A radiator on an enduro bike is a thin aluminium core with fins. In a fall onto its side the core bends or twists, the channels crack and coolant leaks out. Without coolant the engine overheats quickly, so a punctured radiator usually means a tow back. RG13 wraps each radiator in a frame at the side and in crossbars at the front, which form a grille in front of the radiator. The inner supports brace against the bike's frame and are bolted to it, so the force of an impact goes into the frame. With the full front you remove the factory radiator shrouds.
We bend the guards from AlMg3 aluminium sheet (EN AW-5754, PA11) 4 mm thick and TIG-weld them. After welding we clean and polish them. It is an alloy with about 3% magnesium, the kind boats are built from because it resists corrosion even in salt water. 4 mm sheet is stiff, holds its shape and stands up well to abrasion. The set with the fan weighs 1.81 kg (with mounts).
The kit includes a SPAL fan with the original Beta plug, a fan holder, a thermal switch that screws into the radiator and complete wiring with a fuse. When you ride slowly in difficult terrain, hardly any air flows through the radiators, and the engine runs at higher revs while you slip the clutch. The coolant boils and escapes through the overflow. The fan pushes air through the radiator even when you are standing still or crawling along. It does not replace a sound cooling system: coolant, cap and tight hoses.
The kit contains the RG13 guards for both radiators, a SPAL fan with the original Beta plug, a fan holder, a thermal switch that screws into the radiator, wiring with a fuse, and bolts and rivets. You bolt the guards to the frame through the inner supports, with no drilling and no changes to the bike.
We design the guards from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut them on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
