Made in PolandReinforced skid plate (bash plate) with pipe guard made of 4 mm AlMg3 aluminium (EN AW-5754, PA11), with a linkage guard (Prolink) made of 6 mm HDPE and a 10 mm stainless steel rod spider, for Husqvarna TE 250/300 two-strokes, 2020–2023, and GasGas EC 250/300, 2021–2023. It has 9 mounting points, which you bolt to the frame with no drilling and no changes to the bike. It fits only a new, unbent stock (OEM) pipe (not FMF, DEP or Fresco).
The guard fits only a new, unbent stock (OEM) pipe and does not fit FMF, DEP or Fresco exhausts. For the KTM EXC of these years there is the reinforced PG05 X (2.96 kg), without the linkage guard.
The stainless steel spider, made of 10 mm rod, holds the guard from above at the three points that stick out furthest, which makes it much stiffer than the standard guard. The three spider points add to the six points of the PG05 H, making 9 in total. A 10 mm rod is about 2.4 times stiffer in bending than an 8 mm rod, because stiffness rises with the fourth power of the diameter.
The 6 mm HDPE layer covers the linkage, so the bike does not snag or hang up on obstacles. The aluminium part covers the engine cases and covers from below, and the expansion chamber at the front and side, which on a two-stroke runs low under the engine. The shape of the expansion chamber is matched to the engine, so a dented pipe changes the power delivery. A large hole at the lowest point lets mud out, and internal supports position the guard in relation to the pipe, the frame and the engine.
We bend the guard on a press brake from 4 mm AlMg3 aluminium (EN AW-5754, PA11) sheet and TIG-weld it on both sides. After welding we clean and polish it. The alloy, with about 3% magnesium, resists corrosion even in salt water.
There is no drilling and no changes to the bike. We design every guard from a 3D scan of the specific bike with the stock exhaust and cut it on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
