For the Husqvarna FE 250/350 from 2017–2023 there is the SP02, and in 6 mm HDPE the SP15 and the SP14 with a linkage guard. From model year 2024 use the SP18. For the KTM EXC-F 250/350 from 2012–2016 there is the SP07.

The plate covers the engine cases, the starter motor and the clutch and ignition covers from below. Without a guard these parts take the hits on rocks, roots and logs, as well as stones thrown up from the wheels. A cracked case or cover means an oil leak and usually the end of the ride, and replacing an engine case means splitting the engine.

The rigid sheet carries the impact to the whole plate and its mounts on the frame, so a stone does not hit the case at a single point.

PA11 is the Polish designation for the AlMg3 alloy (EN AW-5754), aluminium with about 3% magnesium. It resists corrosion in salt water as well, which is why boats are built from it. We bend the plate on a press brake and TIG-weld it on both sides. After welding we clean and polish it.

Aluminium copes better than plastic with the sharp edges of rocks, and a 4 mm sheet leaves more ground clearance under the engine than a thicker HDPE plate. The plate weighs 1.01 kg.

The kit includes mounting bolts and washers. You bolt the plate to the frame at four points, with no drilling and no changes to the bike, so the force of an impact goes into the frame and not through the bolts into the cases. The SP10 works together with clutch and ignition cover guards.

We design every plate from a 3D scan of the specific bike and cut it on CNC machines in Katowice, Poland. Professional riders test every new model before it goes on sale.
